For the G1600/ G2600 on how to remagnetis the field assy you are told to place the battery ground on the generator frame.
This will not work because the doide will block the current of the battery from the coil of the field wiring. (6A, 600V THAT IS SAID & SHOWN TO BE CONNECTED
